How to make this layout

  1. Place 4 pocket cards in a 2 by 2 block a bit to the right of vertical center and a bit above horizontal center–but don’t mount permanently yet.
  2. Choose several neutral pieces of paper and/or ephemera and layer beneath the four pocket cards.
  3. For a digital page, “clip” your photo to one of the pocket cards. For a paper page, trim your photo to the card size and round corners.
  4. Embellish the other three cards with stamps, brushwork, rub-ons and other elements that repeat one color from your photo.
  5. Add ribbon or twill across the pocket cards between the two rows. Embellish with tape and a date tag.
  6. Add bullet-point journaling below the pocket cards. Stamp or print the bullets in the one color you’re working with.
