How to make this layout

  1.  Start with a heavy, solid cardstock.
  2. Spread an acrylic paint across your page with a palette knife to create a 4 x10″ rectangular base.
  3. Cut  1 ” wide patterned strips–of random lengths that don’t exceed 5″– from a leftover piece of patterned paper.
  4. Stagger your strips vertically across your painted base.
  5. Layer a 2.5 x12″ strip of patterned transparency over your horizontal band.
  6. Add a 3 x5 photo to the left side of your page , positioning the top of your photo about 2″ down from the top of your painted base.
  7. Render your title vertically along the left side of your photo.
  8. Layer journaling strips over the right bottom corner of your photo.
