See how scrapbookers Marie-Pierre Capistran and Stefanie Semple used a one-page sketch/template from Amy Kingsford’s Scrap Your Summer 2012 Bundle on their two-page layouts.
Marie-Pierre Capistran says, “I made this layout for my daughter. It’s the story of a cruise we made, and I focus on my daughter in the story. To make the second page, I flipped the sketch so that I would have symmetry and I placed the pictures more or less randomly, trying to keep some of them standing alone and some others in groups of two, like on the left page. I then tried to fill the gaps so that there would be no trapped space.”
Stefanie Semple says, “I love to bake, and this double page records the recipe of my favorite apple bake. To convert from a one-page sketch to a 2-page, I bumped the journaling band to the far right of the 2-pages and expanded the foundation piece next to it across 2 pages.”
“On the right side, I closed up the space between the 2-photo cluster and a single photo so there were two clusters. I then duplicated the new three-photo cluster, flipped it, and placed that on the right side of the page to create a visual triangle of photo clusters.”
