How to Make Easy Scrapbook Pages: Mix series of columns and rows for a fun linear design | Get It ScrappedEmily Pitts has paired a series of photos arranged in columns with bright rows of trim and a horizontal strip of vellum row to back up her title, creating a fun mix in this very linear page, “Favorites at 15.”

Make your own easy scrapbook page just like Emily’s using the 7-step formula we’ve shared below.

How to make this layout

  1. Start with a die-cut paper as your canvas.
  2. Spray some mist directly onto your background.
  3. Crop your vertical photos to  2.25 x 8″ and print them out onto vellum.
  4. Position your photos across the center of your page and but them up against one another to create four columns.
  5. Lay down two rows of contrasting ribbon both above and below your photo block–leave a one inch gap between the bottom of your photos and your ribbon strips for journaling.
  6. Layer a 1.5″ strip of velum across your photos and add your title to it.
  7. Embellish with buttons, monogram and chipboard accents.
